Born in Pune, India, and raised in Miami, Florida, Meghhaa Kumaarr (fka Megha Mahajan) is a Miami Indian at heart. After completing her undergraduate studies in International Finance and Marketing and Philosophy from the University of Miami in 2004, Ms. Kumaarr was selected for the prestigious Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship and spent two years in Mumbai, India where she served as a liaison between Rotary International Districts in Florida and Mumbai. During her time in India, Ms. Kumaarr attained a master’s in social work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences with a specialization in Urban and Rural Community Development. Ms. Kumaarr also worked on micro-lending policies and established sustainable models for productivity and growth amongst women’s Self-Help Groups in slum and rural areas of India in order to promote economic independence. After her time in India, Ms. Kumaarr returned to Miami, Florida where she obtained her Juris Doctor from Florida International University in 2011.
Ms. Kumaarr enjoys utilizing her background in finance, marketing, philosophy, and social work in her legal practice and currently focuses her practice on real estate and corporate transactional matters, estate planning, probate administration, and litigates in the areas of real estate, probate, and corporate law. Ms. Kumaarr also provides corporate counsel services to small and mid-sized businesses.
During her spare time, Ms. Kumaarr enjoys practicing Bharatanatyam (an Indian classical dance form), engaging in fine arts, fiction writing, and baking.
